What’s the Haps?

lightsSo, I kinda fell down the rabbit hole of a horrid Winter cold.  It happened last week.  I never felt really sick enough to stay home from work.  Which is sad, because who doesn’t love a “sick day” for napping, a Netflix movie and more napping?  Especially when it’s bitter cold and snowy outside.

Dr Who

The horrid part of the cold and napping and Netflix did not happen until the weekend.  And when it happened, it really happened.  We’ve caught up on an amazing amount of Dr Who episodes (David Tennant era Dr.)

And then hearing about all of our friends that have their homes decorated for Christmas?  Yeah, that bug bit us too.  So, with our sneezy, sore noses, we unloaded the garage attic of all our boxes of Christmas decorations.  We stack all the boxes inside and I go through them and place all the decorations around the house.  It always looks so festive and pretty.

christmas-lightsPhase II is next.  That’s the tree. Which will happen over next weekend. I think it’s my favorite part.

One of these years I’m going to do two trees.  I probably have enough ornaments for at least two.  I think the second one will be a nostalgia tree.  That’s the tree with all the childhood homemade ornaments.  The ones made out of popsicle sticks, yarn and bottle caps.  The crazy ones I painted when I was five years old.   I can’t wait.  I’ll keep you posted.
